Strathcona Girls Grammar seeks a confident, contemporary Student Services Administrator.

Located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, Strathcona Girls Grammar has the reputation of a strongly connected community of learners where students achieve excellent academic and co-curricular results. It is a unique, medium-sized girls’ school with three separate campuses, providing an enriching education from ELC to Year 12. Both boys and girls are catered for in the Early Learning Centre.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and relational Student Services Coordinator to join the Strathcona Girls Grammar community. This role is responsible for providing high level administrative support and personal assistance to the Dean of Students and other key health and wellbeing staff members. This will primarily involve assisting with all student related  administration, including student, parent and student-related teacher communication and assisting with the preparation and running of school events.

The Student Services Coordinator must have a strong capacity to provide high level administrative support and excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. There is also the need to operate with discretion, respect, trust and diplomacy whilst maintaining confidentiality. An ability to exert calm demeanour with parents and students, including the capacity to triage students and families in difficult or sensitive situations is essential.

The preferred candidate will have exceptional communication skills and experience in a vibrant school environment, able to demonstrate:

  • Exceptional administration skills and capacity to manage a busy student-facing role
  • A high level of stakeholder management capacity and coordination of international student needs administration
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work with a range of teams
  • Confidential and accurate practices in relation to student records and other databases
  • Ability to engage with all areas of the School community with confidence, warmth and strong interpersonal skills
