Exciting opportunities exist for Catholic educational leaders to serve in one of the most beautiful areas of Australia. Catholic Education Tasmania is a community of 38 schools and colleges servicing over 16,000 students. Faithful to the education mission of the Catholic Church, Catholic Education Tasmania strives for an education that is built on three core pillars – An education that is Christ centred, Student focused, and promotes learning for life.
The Catholic school exists as part of the evangelising mission of the Church, and Principals and Deputy Principals in Catholic schools are accountable for their leadership of mission, learning and teaching within the school community to ensure the goals of Catholic education are achieved.
Catholic Education Tasmania is looking for dynamic educational leaders who can provide student focused, Christ-centred learning for life in the following roles:
Principal for:
- St Mary’s College, Hobart. (K-12)
- Corpus Christi Catholic School. Bellerive, Hobart. (K-6)
- Stella Maris Catholic School, Burnie. (K-6)
- Holy Rosary Catholic School, Claremont, Hobart. (K-6)
- St Anthony’s Catholic School, Riverside, Launceston. (K-6)
Deputy Principal for:
- Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School, Hobart. (K-6)
- Stella Maris Catholic School, Burnie. (K-6)
- St Joseph’s Catholic School, Rosebery. (K-6)

- Demonstrate active, regular involvement in Sunday worship and sacramental life.

- Model constructive leadership and commitment to personal development in faith, ongoing professional development, health and well-being.
- Contribute richly to educational discourse as thought leaders.
- Establish a strategic vision for the school to guide continuous and effective improvement.
- Collaborate and relate effectively with families, parish and community.
