Affectionately known as GRG, Georges River Grammar is an independent, co-educational school for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in Sydney’s South-West. The School Board invites applications from experienced leaders with a commitment and ability to lead, promote and demonstrate the principles and values of the School. The successful candidate will be able to translate ideas and concepts into action, analyse complex situations and engage others proactively in change and improvement and be able to deliver strong academic, co-curricular, and pastoral outcomes. With a negotiated start date in Semester One 2024, the successful candidate will be a motivated, relational leader, with a dynamic presence and ability to connect authentically with all members of the Georges River Grammar community and external stakeholders.

 The preferred candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to supporting the values and ethos of the School with the ability to lead a diverse and inclusive community;
  • Be responsible for the direction and leadership in the development of a strong, contemporary and challenging curriculum, supported by a rewarding program of co-curricular activities;
  • Lead and manage innovation in an inclusive and collaborative manner, using evidence and taking into account input from all stakeholders;
  • Provide executive level leadership in all aspects of the school’s operations, including resourcing and people management, financial management, marketing, fundraising, communications and governance, including sound understanding of the governance principles of a school;
  • Be an engaged and dynamic leader of staff, able to promote the flourishing of staff members and maintain high standards through regular feedback, appraisal and review processes;
  • Lead the school community, by being present and known by students, parents and the wider community and instil a strong sense of belonging and inclusion;
  • Have oversight and leadership of the maintenance and development of the campus and facilities, to support the school’s vision and objectives;
  • Be personally present with the ability to represent the School publicly in the broader community.
