St Kevin’s College is a Catholic Prep to Year 12 College for boys in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice.  The College has faithfully partnered with families in serving the educational needs of boys from the metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1918.  The College has established itself as a leading Catholic school in Melbourne in academic excellence and co-curricular pursuits.

With a current enrolment of approximately 2100 students, St Kevin’s College offers a distinctive learning experience.  There are four campus sites with each catering for the specific needs of learners as they embark on, and fulfil, their educational journey.  St Peter’s Early Learning Centre for our 3 and 4 year olds, Glendalough Junior Campus for Prep to Year 6, Heyington Senior Campus for students in Years 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12, and the Waterford Campus which caters for Year 9 specifically.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Human Resources Professional to join St Kevin’s in a recently developed Human Resources team.  With a negotiated start, this is a full time, ongoing position, St Kevin’s is seeking a Human Resources Advisor, preferably with education experience, able to problem solve, support staff and provide accurate and professional responses in a timely manner, together with proven communication skills. You will be appropriately qualified with suitable experience and a background relevant to the role.

The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to College staff across the areas such as workforce planning, job and work design, performance and management, employee relations and HR policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be a relational and collaborative professional able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission
  • Participate in development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects
  • Embed best practice human resources processes, procedures and principles for the School
  • Operate in a collaborative, professional, confidential and discretionary manner
  • Promote professionalism and excellence in all areas of the College
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational and IT capabilities
