The Head of Digital Learning (HoDL) oversees the digital learning curriculum Years 7 – 12, aligning with Australian Curriculum in Digital Technologies and Literacy and comprehensive digital learning integration for all staff across the whole school. The role demands curriculum leadership, proven experience in Digital Technologies, adept interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate complex and technical information in a scaffolded, accessible and practical manner, combined with a relatable approach that inspires and motivates teams. The HoDL leads change in an inclusive manner, actively mentoring and supporting colleagues to achieve excellence in the delivery of exceptional digital technology experiences for students. The Head of Digital Learning (HoDL) is responsible for leading the effective implementation of Digital Learning, and leads initiatives that will continually enhance the use of technology both inside and outside the classroom.
The HoDL is a key member of the Curriculum & Learning, and Executive Technology teams, collaborating with ICT Operations Manager, and Director of Learning and Innovation to empower educators across the whole school through professional development and drive technology advancements for enriched classroom experiences. Commencing January 2024, the successful candidate will maintain a teaching component of 0.6, including DigiSolutions (Years 7 & 8). VCE Applied Computing is highly desirable.
