Masada College seeks an agile and experienced professional for Head of Academic Care K-6, expert in contemporary wellbeing practice and pastoral care.
Located in Sydney’s leafy North Shore, Masada College is a Jewish co-educational school. A 20 minute drive from the central business district of Sydney, Masada College welcomes students from all backgrounds, and prides itself on inclusivity. Its educational mission is to raise responsible individual thinkers with a strong sense of social justice and confidence in their ability to determine their own future. Through Jewish values and a nurturing community, Masada College engages and instils a genuine love of learning with a quest for excellence. Masada College bases its ethos on three things; being Jewish, on being Australian and being nurturing.
Masada College prides itself on strong academic results in the Higher School Certificate, consistently placing in the top schools in New South Wales. However, students’ real success stories are not the ones published in the league tables. They are those students who exceed their own expectations thanks to the individual attention they receive at the College. Their enhanced performance comes down to the encouragement of their teachers, the smaller class sizes as well as the collaboration of teachers and parents. Masada College Junior School is first and foremost a school with a Culture of Thinking. As part of the Leading Learning educational package, every student is challenged and stimulated in their journey by evaluative thinking, the opportunity to lead and the acceptance of personal responsibility. The aim is to help young boys and girls develop their learning skills while allowing the strengths of each child to shine.
