Located in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne, Hume Anglican Grammar is a dual campus coeducational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12. The School seeks an an inspiring and dynamic senior leader to design and lead innovative science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs across P to 12.

Hume Anglican Grammar School aims to provide students with an education that prepares them for the challenges of life, equips them to contribute to the community in an environment based on Christian values and at a cost affordable to as many families as possible. Hume Anglican Grammar has an open enrolment policy, so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.

The School currently has two campuses (Primary and Secondary), is focused on innovative thinking in its approach to teaching and learning and implements practices  appropriate for the developmental stage.

In 2021, the school will have an enrolment of over 1,600 students (Mt Ridley 1,287 & Donnybrook 322) and employ 140 staff. Each student is cherished for their own individual strengths so they may be nurtured to prosper and flourish.

The Director of STEM programs, designs, implements, develops and evaluates relevant programs that encourages success and improves STEM engagement for students across the curriculum. In addition to fulfilling the role as the Secondary Head of Technology, they play a pivotal role in the overall management of the Mt Ridley STEM Centre, its
day-to-day operations and the implementation of STEM programs. It is a highly respected leadership position within the organisation with a significant responsibility for providing innovative and state-of the-art programs. An ability to form strong and sustainable partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, along with an excellent understanding of
current trends and research, to develop learning opportunities, and promote career options and post school pathways. This is an outstanding opportunity for a person with exceptional relational and dynamic leadership capacity, able to teach Learning Technologies to VCE and looking to work in a contemporary educational environment.

Beginning in January 2021, the successful candidate will:

  • lead the development and strategic implementation of progressive and innovative Learning Technologies and STEM programs
  • co-construct meaningful learning opportunities with students and staff to ensure efficacy around student agency
  • lead and promote quality relationships with external partners to facilitate learning opportunities
  • have exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills
  • possess a proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and inspire staff to be continuous learners in the area of technology.
