The Deputy Principal holds a pivotal and esteemed leadership role, ideally suited for educators aspiring to higher leadership positions. In close collaboration with the Principal and the Heads of Junior School, Calrossy 7 – 9, and Senior Secondary, the Deputy Principal will assume responsibility for overseeing and efficiently managing school operations, from Prep to Year 12. As a school devoted to the pursuit of ‘Excellence in a Christian Environment,’ the Deputy Principal will play a crucial role in championing and embodying this vision. She or he will support the Principal in providing outstanding teaching and learning and enhancing a positive learning culture and environment across our campuses.
Leading by example, the successful candidate will hold responsibility for ongoing improvement, innovation and growth in the school’s academic programs. The role has a significant wellbeing element, leading and caring for staff and students in accordance with the Calrossy Mission, Vision and Strategic goals of holistic education and growing successful graduates who are creators of hope and meaningful change.
In addition to oversight of school operation, the Deputy Principal plays an important role in the planning and implementation of strategy and policy, in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and the Calrossy Board.
It is expected that the successful applicant will align to the Christian philosophy of Calrossy, as a school in the Anglican Diocese of Armidale and demonstrate an active personal faith.
The Deputy Principal will deputise for the Principal when required and is an ex officio member of the School Board.
