The Anglican Schools Corporation (TASC) is seeking to appoint an appropriately experienced and qualified Business Partner to work within its finance and operations team. The successful candidate will have extensive financial experience and be able to work across a portfolio of schools to provide meaningful information to enable School Management and Governors to make sound decisions that benefit both the School and the Corporation as a whole.
The Anglican Schools Corporation comprises 16 schools, 14 within the Sydney diocese and 2 schools in Western NSW. Each school values its independence while acting with interdependence within TASC. TASC provides schooling for students across both low fee and higher fee schools. TASC has a commitment to high quality Christian education and continues to seek opportunities to grow schools. TASC is seeking an experienced and committed Business Partner who is suitably financially qualified (CA or CPA) and shares a vision for Christian education. The Business Partner will work closely with the principals, business managers and school councils of the schools for which they are responsible, to assist them in making and delivering operational and strategic goals.
Reporting to the Director-Operations the Business Partner will have a number of schools within the portfolio of responsibility. The Business Partner will be responsible for being a trusted advisor to those schools leading the planning, budgeting, and forecasting for them. The Business Partner will attend each school council meeting within their portfolio, in order to develop an understanding of and relationship with the school. The Business Partner needs to have the ability to actively communicate and work collaboratively with the wider teams in the Corporation to be able to balance the school’s needs within an understanding of the Corporation as a whole.
The successful candidate will be experienced in and will demonstrate:
- A proven ability to co-ordinate and manage multiple stakeholders
- Experience in all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and planning for a complex organisation: delivering financial analysis and meaningful information to Management and Governors
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with a range of stakeholders
- Superior analytical and report writing skills, with a particular focus on Business Cases and long-term financial planning
- A solution focussed approach in providing insight into financial constraints and financial viability
- Practising Christian, active in local church and able to provide a Minister’s reference
