The Assistant Principal – Learning Engagement (Years PK-12) will support the Principal and Deputy Principal in providing both strategic and day-to-day leadership in teaching and learning to achieve the strategic direction of holistic growth for students in Years Pre-Kindy-12. The core purpose of the job is to work closely with whole school Faculty leaders, the Primary Literacy & Numeracy Coordinator, the Assistant Principal- Primary and Deputy Principal to ensure high quality teaching and learning is occurring across the school. High engagement is a core responsibility of the role and includes Project-Based Learning. The Assistant Principal-Learning Engagement may assume the role of Acting Deputy Principal in the absence of the Deputy Principal.
This role will lead the continuous improvement and innovation in learning and teaching, integrating Project Based Learning, 21st century best practice pedagogy and student voice and choice. The successful candidate will be an inspiring, relational leader, with a clear capacity to engage in the broader School community able to demonstrate:
- Ethical and courageous leadership which supports the mission and ethos of the School.
- Strategic capacity to lead, motivate and engage the Staff in innovation and improvement through professional learning
- Expertise in PBL, innovative pedagogy, and the development of a learning culture that values student voice, collaboration and co-construction

- Capacity to attract and develop staff and nurture a culture of growth to drive improvement
- Emotional intelligence, adaptability and a future focused mindset
